Cashless Payments
In order to improve the way we manage table money, and to reduce the admin time and cost, the Committee has decided to introduce Cashless Payments. This is in line with other clubs in Wellington.
Cashless Payments will be live from 15 April 2024. The system is run through the Scorer bridge system interfacing with a dedicated Kairangi table money bank a/c. You simply pay money into our new table money bank account and this is added to your table money balance in the Scorer system. It’s just like the voucher/ticket system except instead of giving you a voucher we record your table money in Scorer. What’s changing?

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know how much credit is in my account? You can check on the statements we send each month or email admin@kairangibridge.nz. What happens if there are no funds in my account when I need to pay table money? No problem, you can play now and top up your table money when you get home using internet banking. How do I know my money is safe in the account? It’s similar to how you currently pay online for your table money, but instead of counting vouchers you check your emailed statement. Can I top up my account by paying cash at the Club? We prefer payments by internet banking, but you can top up with cash if you are not an internet banking user. What happens if I use the wrong Kairangi Bank A/c? We encourage everyone to check the bank account number before they pay. Your money won’t be lost if you pay into the wrong Kairangi account but it will require a lot more administration work for us. Can I top up online on the day of play? Yes no problem. It may take a day or two for it to be reflected in your balance in Scorer but you can still play. What is the Scorer System? Scorer is the computer program that all our bridge is run through. It also holds all our database information. It is the system that many other bridge clubs in NZ also run. As a couple can we top up both our accounts at the same time? You do this by making two internet payments, each with the appropriate NZ Bridge number in the reference field and surname in the particulars field. What is the email address my statements will come from? Your statement will be sent from nz.scorer.mail@gmai. |
